Cellphone carriers have no answer to virus questions

If they don't even have a company line, is it likely that they have a technical plan to combat this stuff?

Infoworld TechWatch:

I called five wireless carriers, AT&T Wireless, Cingular, Nextel, Sprint, and Verizon to ask what they intend to do about viruses being transmitted through their networks and got a uniform dodge.

Jakob on TV remote controls

Jakob Nielsen:
I'm frustrated by how difficult it is to watch a movie on my TV. It ought to be a relaxing experience, but I constantly get into trouble trying to operate the several remote controls required to accomplish this simple task.

First Cell Phone Virus

ITV.com:

A computer virus that can infect mobiles has surfaced for the first time.

The virus, called Cabir, infects the Symbian operating system that is used in several makes of phone, including Nokias, and spreads through the new Bluetooth wireless technology.

It writes the word Caribe on the screen and is then activated every time that the phone is turned on. It is able to scan for phones that are also using Bluetooth and is able to send a copy of itself to anybody else's handset within 7-10 metres.

HD adoption increasing

Pinkerton:

The most notable impact to regular ESPN-HD viewing is that now even their non-HD programming is 4x3 with side-bars rather than the poorly stretched abomination they used before. I can actually watch ESPN-HD now, even for regular SD content. Interestingly, the sidebars aren't fixed graphics, but move ever so slightly to prevent burn-in (for those who haven't correctly calibrated their monitors). A nice touch.
